Choosing a topic to blog about might be driving you nuts because there are SO many categories to choose from.

I get it, you are super excited and want to start your blog!

But there’s one little thing holding you back.

You’re just not sure what to blog about.

You are afraid of making the wrong decision thinking what if it doesn’t work out or what if you lose interest.

Well, on the other hand, maybe you do have an idea but you’re struggling to narrow down your focus on a blog topic.

Some of you may even decide to be a little broader by venturing off and starting a “lifestyle blog” because this will allow you to discover yourself and give you the freedom to write about more than just one topic.

I often get readers like you asking me for blog post ideas and how to decide what to blog about that will earn a good income and make money.

So, to help you start your blog and choose the perfect topic or niche, I’m going to hand-hold you and answer your burning questions!

READ ALSO: While you’re going through this post, I also highly recommend reading my guide on how to choose a profitable niche here. In that article, I cover the steps you need to follow that will lead you to the right path of starting a blog in a niche that is monetizable.

By the end of this post, I want you to feel good and be confident with the decision you make!

Don’t forget to save this post on Pinterest here so you can refer back to this blogging lesson! You don’t want to lose or miss out on this information!

What To Blog About?

There are SO many things to blog about and you can make money with almost any blog niche you choose.

Even something as specific as Maneki-Neko lucky cats.

Yes… even when you blog about these Japanese lucky cats!

what should I blog about lucky cat

But of course, I’m not here to tell you to start a blog about Maneki-Neko cats (unless you truly have an interest in them and a solid monetization strategy with the blog).

So, let’s leave the discussion of the Japanese lucky cats for another day. 😊

Now, here are three key points I want you to keep in mind when deciding on a niche and what you want to blog about.

1. Discover Your Passions and Interests

When considering what to blog about, I highly recommend sticking to the topics you genuinely enjoy talking about or writing about.

If you choose a topic for the sake of chasing money alone, and you don’t enjoy the topic, you will quickly burn out, lose interest, and give up on the blog!

I personally made this mistake when I started creating food content. I genuinely enjoy making healthy recipes that would meet all my daily needs of vitamins, minerals and nutrients.

But I eventually realized that most people don’t appreciate the healthier versions (they really don’t if the recipe is 100% clean). So, I ended up writing about regular recipes just to cater to the majority. If I had stuck with it, it might have been successful.

But in the end, I lost interest and gave up on that food blog. It didn’t resonate with me because I don’t enjoy cooking standard recipes that aren’t healthy. I couldn’t keep going because it didn’t reflect my values, who I am, or the lifestyle I live.

I primarily cook for nutrition and health rather than taste, so creating mouth-watering recipes with empty calories that appeal to most people was never my passion.

That was just my little example so you can draw from my experience.

By the way, when I say discover and blog about your “passions,” I’m not advising you to choose a topic that only you care about and nobody else does (I will elaborate more about this in the 3rd key point, “market demand”).

To give you a few examples, no one cares about how much fun you had walking your dog at the park, your love for music, or the expensive one-of-a-kind meal you ate for lunch over the weekend.

Unless you are entertaining, inspiring, or helping them with something that has to do with any of those examples, no one will care about what you have to say on the blog! Again, I will elaborate on this again in the 3rd point below.

2. Discover Your Skills and Experience

Think about your skills and experience. What are you good at?

Is there something your friend, mom, or dad would tell you that you’re good at?

On a side note, I want to point out that you DON’T actually have to be “skilled” or “an expert” to start a blog on the topic that you’re passionate about or interested in.

You can treat your blog as a self-learning or self-development journey to learn, grow, and become better at whatever it is that piques your interests!

The best form of learning is teaching someone by going through a journey of experiences.

For example, you could be struggling with your weight and eating habits and you want to blog about your weight-loss journey.

When you start a blog about weight loss or healthy living, you can write about the baby steps you’ve taken to lose some weight.

As a result, this can help your readers who are just like you struggling with the same problem. You don’t have to be the fittest or the healthiest person giving advice to make a positive impact on your readers’ lives! In fact, there are many people who are far from being fit and muscular, and they rather follow an idol, like you, who can understand and relate to them.

Aside from this weight loss journey example, there are many other examples that you can blog about like:

  • Becoming more organized
  • Learning how to become a first-time mom or dad
  • Getting out of debt (whether it be student loans or credit card debt)
  • Learning how to DIY and craft
  • Achieving financial independence
  • Becoming more confident and happier

Believe me when I say you will attract an audience who will want to follow and listen to you despite not being “perfect” or “the best.”

You have a hidden skill and talent that will shine on your blog when you understand your readers’ struggles and remain true to yourself. This will attract an audience who are more similar to you and go through similar struggles!

3. Market Demand

Referring back to the 1st key point, I mentioned that choosing a topic or niche you’re passionate about, or interested in learning more about, is vital. That way, it won’t feel like blogging is a chore or work.

However, when you do choose a blog topic that you’re passionate about, you’ll also want to make sure that there’s a market demand for it.

In other words, will there be people interested in the things you write about in that blog niche?

To help beginners like you, I compiled a list of profitable niches that will help you start a profitable blog.

What To Blog About And Make Money (Choosing A Profitable Niche)

Aside from choosing just a niche or a topic, I often get asked “what can I blog about to make money?”

Yes, we all want to make money and be able to help others too, don’t we? 😊

Well, I can tell you there are many profitable blog niches that are very popular!

I created this list to give you an idea of which topics have the potential to make money!

I’ve done countless hours of research on many blogs that are earning a full-time income with these niches.

Again, you could blog about almost anything and share your experience, knowledge, and tips as long as it inspires, entertains, or helps your readers.

By the way, this list is not in any particular order of importance, or popularity, other than alphabetical.

  • Arts, Crafts, and DIY Projects
  • Beauty, Fashion, and Make-up
  • Career and Personal Development
  • Entrepreneurship and Business
  • Food and Diet (you can blog specifically about one diet if you like)
  • Food, Meal Planning, and Recipes
  • Frugal Living
  • General Lifestyle Tips
  • Graphic Designing
  • Health, Fitness, Workout, and Exercises
  • Healthy Eating
  • Home Organizing or Decluttering
  • Home Renovations
  • Minimalistic or Zero-Waste Living
  • Organizing Your Life (printables, agendas, planners, etc.)
  • Parenting and Mommy Blogs
  • Personal Finance, Budgeting, and Money Matters
  • Positive Mindset and Happiness
  • Productivity and Time Management Hacks
  • Real Estate
  • Relationships (Family, Marriage, Love, etc.)
  • Self-Development or Self-Improvement
  • Sewing and Crocheting
  • Technology and Gadget Reviews
  • Travel, Entertainment, and Eats
  • Upcycling, Thrifting, and Refurbishing

As you can see, there are so many things you can blog about and this list can go on and on.

You can blog about almost anything as long as you are sincerely interested in that topic.

And reiterating the 3rd key point above, market demand, you need to figure out who your target audience is and make your blog about your reader and how you can help them.

I feel like I’m a broken record here, but I’m always going to mention this again and again.

Your blog needs to be inspiring, motivating, entertaining, or providing a solution to a problem.

3 Questions To Help You Choose Your Perfect Blog Niche

Now that you have an understanding of the 3 key points mentioned above (1. passion, 2. skill/experience, and 3. market demand) along with an idea of which blog niches are profitable, you are now going to choose a niche and decide what to blog about.

To help you choose a niche and decide what to blog about to make money, I want you to answer some of these questions that will help you understand and know yourself a little better.

The more specific and detailed your answers, the better you’ll be able to come up with great ideas that suit you!

  1. What are your top three interests and topics?
  2. What do your families, friends, coworkers, and even acquaintances and strangers compliment you on?
  3. How will your interests and topics help your readers?

Just by answering these 3 short questions, you’ll be able to start your blog, choose the perfect niche, and come up with ideas on what to blog.

Once you’ve gone through the next section’s examples, leave your answers to these 3 questions in the comment box below. I will be more than happy to help you get started with your blog! 😊

Examples to Help You Decide on Your Blog Niche

In this section, I’m going to go through two examples with you to make it easier for you to decide on what to blog about.

The first example focuses on a narrowed-down niche (AKA one topic) whereas the second example includes a few different topics.

Of course, everyone’s answers (including yours) will be different but I will use two of my readers’ examples and go through each one with you to give you an idea.

Example 1 – Narrowed Focus On One Blog Topic:

These are Bailey’s answers, one reader of mine, and gave me permission to share her answers with you:

1. What are your top three interests and topics?

  • Home and interior designing
  • Salvaging and recreating leftover materials
  • Painting and drawing

2. What do your families, friends, coworkers, and even acquaintances and strangers compliment you on?

My family and friends can see that I am really passionate about putting things together and making them look pretty whatever it is. They show appreciation of all my projects. That includes my art, paintings, stylish home décor, and interior design. They all say I should become a home designer!

3. How will your interests and topics help your readers?

My passions will teach my readers how to recycle, reuse, and reinvent abandoned things that other people see as garbage. This is the side of me that loves to build and put things together from a different perspective. I can also teach and help others learn how to make things look good just like store-bought without paying full price! I want to show the world that you can salvage anything and turn it into something fun, useful, and stylish!

Based on Bailey’s answer to the first questions about her interests, you can see that each topic is related to being creative or crafty in some form or way.

Bailey told me that she will be starting a blog that inspires and teaches her readers how to decorate a home beautifully all within a budget.

As you can see, decorating a home on a budget will be her blog niche.

Her love for salvaging and recreating things with leftover material, that would have gone to waste otherwise, reflects her creative and frugal nature.

She knows how to recycle and refurbish items by turning them into something that is useful and stylish for her home.

Bailey will be focused on writing blog posts that help her readers decorate a home and make it look stunning through all sorts of DIY and creative projects without breaking the bank.

Example 2 – Broad Focus on Multiple Blog Topics:

With her permission too, here is an example of Kathy’s, another one of my readers, responses to these questions:

1. What are your top three interests and topics?

  • Natural beauty tips on a budget
  • Children and teaching them
  • Organizing and decorating my home as a fun hobby

2. What do your families, friends, coworkers, and even acquaintances and strangers compliment you on?

I get compliments about my skin and nails and friends ask me what I do to get them naturally. I get a lot of the times compliments about my children’s manners and how well behaved they are when I bring them out. Whenever I host a party at my place, they like my order in my kitchen and living room also the way I design my home. They are surprised at how I don’t need to spend a fortune on my organizing systems, furniture, and decorations because it looks so nice and glamorous.

3. How will your interests and topics help your readers?

I have seen a lot of buzz and people interested about clean beauty and “DIY” your own ingredients from home so I can see myself helping women become aware of toxic chemicals in products and switch to safer alternatives. I believe everyone wants to live a more natural and chemical free life. As a mom to two beautiful children, I also want to teach new moms how I teach my kids to behave and stay calm. Decorating and organizing my home with my kids gives me time to bond with them so I enjoy it as a hobby. It’s another interest I consider starting my blog on so I can teach and inspire others to bring life to and beautify their homes on a tight budget!

Kathy’s answers are completely different from Bailey’s in example 1.

In this second example, you’ll see that Kathy listed 3 different topics and interests that don’t seem to relate to each other – beauty, children, and home organization and decor.

Problem: Kathy told me she was confused and didn’t know how to narrow down her focus.

At one point in our conversation, she even said that she will be afraid of narrowing (or niching) down because she is the type of person who tends to get bored of just one topic. She was also afraid of confusing her readers due to a lack of focus.

She just doesn’t know which topic she likes more.

Solution: Start a blog with a “lifestyle” approach.

You can start a blog and write different topics especially when you’re a beginner with no experience. This would be defined as a “lifestyle” blog.

I know many lifestyle blogs that do well despite having different categories and topics.

The key to starting a lifestyle blog is knowing who your audience is. This is true for any blog you start regardless of it being lifestyle or not.

For example, if you are a college student, you can start a college student lifestyle blog and write many different topics that are tailored to college students such as fashion for college students, quick and easy meals for busy students, time management, and organizing tips for students, saving money tips in college, etc. This will give you the opportunity to learn, write and test different areas to see what sparks your interest!

In Kathy’s case, she confirmed that she will be starting a lifestyle blog for moms.

When you read her answers, you can see she is a mom with many different interests.

She said, “As a mom to two beautiful children, I also want to teach new moms how I teach my kids to behave and stay calm. Decorating and organizing my home with my kids gives me time to bond with them so I enjoy it as a hobby. It’s another interest I consider starting my blog on so I can teach and inspire others to bring life to and beautify their homes on a tight budget!”

Based on that answer, she can create blog posts about parenting or mom tips. She can also include home organization and home décor posts that are tailored to moms.

She also mentioned “I have seen a lot of buzz and people interested about clean beauty and “DIY” your own ingredients from home so I can see myself helping women become aware of toxic chemicals in products and switch to safer alternatives.”

From this statement, she can still write posts that inform women (including moms) about clean beauty products if she wants to test out this niche.

The great thing about starting a lifestyle blog is you get the freedom to write about almost any category/subject you want. At the same time, you’ll also learn a lot a wide variety of different subjects!

This is especially true for those who feel they like to talk about almost everything and can’t seem to stick to just one topic.

The beauty is you can still choose to narrow down and focus on one topic when you gain a little bit of experience. Once you start to understand who your audience is based on your blog traffic, comments, and emails you receive from your readers, you will discover which path to go. And this is not uncommon to see!

Wrap Up On What To Blog About

I hope you found this blog post helpful and informative in helping you decide on a niche and what to blog about.

Whether you decide to really narrow down your focus (remember the Maneki-Neko cats I mentioned at the beginning of the post) or be broad with a lifestyle blog and test out multiple topics to see what will become the right fit for you over time, there isn’t a right or wrong approach to starting your blog.

Instead, the key is focusing on your target audience and offering inspiration, entertainment, or solutions to a problem.

About Ling

I am always fascinated about the idea of earning a living online with blogs. I really dreaded the traditional 9-5 job, and that pain really motivated me to start building a better relationship with my money so I could achieve financial freedom sooner. I woke up one day, and randomly started my first blog ever, FinSavvyPanda.com (with no knowledge about blogs, websites, or whatsoever) where I share my personal finance tips to help readers save, budget, and earn more. Fast forward 18 months, I was so surprised about earning a six-figure annual income with my small blog! I also started a second profitable blog after my experience with my first, so I could learn more about different topics and niches! I'd love to help you start your first blog too, so you can do what you love and live on your own terms! You can click here to learn how you can start a profitable blog for beginners.

Hi, Ling! After reading your blog, I realized that my niche is somewhere around food, books, saving, and making money. ‘Cause that’s why interests me the most you know.

My question is if I first need to find something original, to somehow think outside of the box a little before starting my blog. I know that everybody who’s a food blogger around there is writing about amazing or fast or healthy or on a budget recipes.

I don’t know if my readers will be satisfied with just showing them another bunch of recipes 😒.

      Hey Talpau!

Starting a blog about food and recipes is a great idea. You can definitely throw in some cookbooks or recipe books along with posts that give your readers content about budget recipes – these do really well too!

You don’t have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to writing recipe posts. I do recommend you showcasing your personality and style when you write. Your voice will distinguish you from other blogs that cover the same or similar content.

Feel free to let me know if this helps! I’m very excited to see you start your recipe and healthy eating blog!! 🙂

    Hello Ling,

    Thanks for your information!

Right now I am stuck between 2 topics.

Firstly, as a hobby, I love things to do with managing household surroundings (inside and outside appearance of your home), like how you can manage various things in order being it furniture, kitchen, flowers, maybe your choice of paint, household decluttering, gardening, etc…

Secondly, there is this online marketing I have been into since last August. On this, I have surrounded myself with successful marketers who have been mentoring me in various ways of making it big online and these are the ones who have been encouraging me to open a website. This is what brought me to you when I started searching on how people online make money.

I know I don’t have to be an expert to get started but I am in between these two subjects at the moment.

    Cheers

      Hi Lwitikano

You should stick with the topic that you truly are passionate about when it comes to inspiring and helping your readers. That way, you will enjoy what you blog about and it won’t feel like you’re “working” just for the sake of earning money.

It sounds like you really love and enjoy home decor, organizing, and anything to do with managing the home. You can do really well and become successful in this niche once you learn how to drive traffic back to your blog and create a solid monetizing strategy by gaining your readers’ trust (which is related to online marketing).

      I hope this helps! 🙂

          @Creative Dips

Your answers are thoroughly written and they all sounds awesome.

Based on what I’m hearing, I think you will do well in the fashion niche talking about how you create different styles and looks by reusing old clothes and doing your own DIY. You also sound like a very artistic and creative person who can turn any scrap into treasure so if I were you, I’d think about starting a blog about this topic related to fashion. Down the road, you could even look into creating an ebook or course that teaches people how to do this!

I am beyond excited for you and I can’t wait to see you start your blog!

Let me know how it goes. I’d love to see you build it into success! 🙂

But still, I have some queries and need more help from you.

I just want to ask that can I start blogging on lists like the top 10 things in the world?

Moreover, I’m also thinking about making a blog on vehicles or mobile phones, need comments on this also.

      Hi Talha

I’m glad to hear you find my 7-day email course and blog content helpful! 🙂

Most “top 10” types of posts or list posts tend to do well, so yeah, definitely give them a go!

I can see you blogging about gadgets and tech product reviews related to the niche you choose. For example, gadgets, products, or accessories for your car. The must-have apps or accessories for your mobile phones. Those are some examples that your readers and consumers are interested in.

      I hope this helps! 🙂

        Hey Ling,
My question is can I try more than one niche??
        For example:
        1. I can write about travel like I have some idea and hints for this…
        2. I can do tips on online money making (though I have never tried one, but I have seen a lot of people..and have some idea)
        3. I can write about parental tips

Like how to not make your child feel depressed…
Or how to assemble your kid’s room, or make them enjoy some activities that will teach them.

          Hey Kia

You can start a lifestyle blog that touches upon more than just one topic but I usually recommend writing in a way where you can relate and tie back everything to some sort of common theme. I explain more about this in this post that talks about what to write about and how to choose your niche. I give a few examples on how you can start a blog that is more focused on one topic vs a blog that is broader. I highly recommend re-reading the examples to get an idea.

Those are all profitable topics that you’ve listed but I don’t recommend mixing too many things that have nothing to do with each other. For example, making money online has nothing to do with parenting tips. But if you talk about parenting tips, you can talk about ways to save money that is related to products that parents may want to buy for their kids. You can also talk about home decor for kid’s bedroom in your parenting blog. You can also talk about travelling with kids and places to go. You see what I mean?

          I hope this helps!

      Hi Rani

      Thanks for sharing your answers!

By the looks of things, I can totally see you start a blog for teenagers and/or students about lifestyle – anything you can think of that is for teens/students from travel, crafts, arts, schooling, etc.

Alternatively, you can start a blog that is more focused on teaching your audience about different Asian languages (you can also be more specific and choose one from your list – Japanese, Chinese, or Korean).

I’m not sure what you can blog about in regards to paintings and drawings specifically, but if you can turn that into an arts and crafts blog and incorporate some crafting in there, you can start a crafts blog for kids, teens and/or students. Creativity tends to do very well on platforms like Pinterest.

I hope this helps you choose a specific topic and getting started with your blog!

Thank you for putting this together for beginner bloggers like myself. I have been wanting to pursue blogging for many years and have finally decided to take the plunge. However, I was thinking about creating a lifestyle blog that focuses on creating and living a God filled simple but luxurious life. I am not sure if merging 3 different topics is too much. I would really appreciate your feedback.

    Thank you and God bless

      Hi Kayla,

I’m glad to hear that you’re finally going to take the plunge to start your blog!! I can’t wait to see you start, build and launch it!

Based on this blog post I wrote, I mentioned that you can also start off with different topics within a broader niche as long as they relate somehow and you can still tie them back to each other. I know many people who start blogs and some of their content may not relate back to each other, which is okay because lifestyle blogs can and still make money even when they have some categories that don’t have anything to do with each other (I do have another blog that is like this too and it’s earning money through Mediavine display ads and product recommendations without an email list).

When you’re a beginner, it may be a little challenging to know what narrowed topic you enjoy so it’s important to do testing yourself and see what you like more. Through time and doing this with real hands-on experience, you will find out eventually once you realize which posts are taking off and which ones your readers are responding to more often. That will give you better guidance as you learn and build your blog.

So, what I’m saying is that it’s okay to not get this 100% the first time. You do need to go through that experience of starting your blog to truly understand what you like more and what your audience wants at the same time.

And I don’t think 3 different topics is too much as long as you can make them relate to each other (not 100% necessary but I’d really try my best to). For example, fashion and Apple watches may seem different, but they can relate because the Apple Watch is still a “trendy” and fashionable thing despite it falling under the gadget or technology niche. This is what I mean by relating to each other. I hope this example helps.

Let me know if this helps! I am looking forward to seeing you start your blog!! I can already feel that it’s going to be amazing!! 🙂

Is it okay to blog about things like anime and movies. That’s the only thing I’m considering that would be easy for me because I’m a student and I would just want a topic I can easily flow with whenever I’m free. So do you think blogging about movies and anime will be a nice idea?

      Hi Elyon

Anime and movies are a great idea! Whether it’s about the story, a review, or any upcoming releases, there are a lot of people who search for this on Google, so I can see a lot of potential with your blog!

The best part is you enjoy this topic, so it would be nice to enjoy your free time building a hobby around this. 🙂

    Hey Ling. What’s up?

I’m loving the way you write. It’s so enthusiastic and powerful. I love it.

Can I just ask you for a few tips?

I want my blog to be good so I won’t hesitate to ask for help and so on.

Personally, I love to read, and heard about book review blogs that do good. I also love music and can play the guitar. But see I have another perspective of music and go deep and I think that I’ll be able to tell so much about it. And then games. Also, like the book review one where you talk about games and so on.

I was wondering if you can give me insight on what blog you think or know will do great. One that you’ll personally choose?

      Hi Mariska

I’m glad to hear that you like the way I write!

It is so easy to get lost when you have so many interests that don’t connect or relate with each other. If you can somehow connect all of these and make them relate to one another, then I would say go ahead and start your blog introducing these different topics.

However, if you can’t make them connect or relate, I highly recommend you sticking with the one that you truly enjoy and can see yourself spend most of your time talking about. You’ve gotta live and breathe that topic!

Also, you have to keep in mind that whichever topic you choose from your list, you need to be able to help or inspire your reader in one way or another. Your readers will land on your page and subconsciously think, what’s in it for me? How is this website or blog going to help me? Is it going to solve my problem? Is it going to keep me entertained or inspire me?

Always remember that your blog is all about your reader!

I also recommend you review and re-read this blog post about what to write and how to choose your niche. I give examples of how you can make a lifestyle type of blog tie back to a “common theme” or make it relate to another topic.
I hope this advice helps. I also hope this gives you the confidence to start your blog! I am super excited for you and I can’t wait to see you build a successful blog!

    Hi Ling.

These are my answers to your questions from your post. What do you think?

    1. WHAT ARE YOUR INTEREST? WHAT ARE THE TOPICS YOU’RE EXCITED TO LEARN ABOUT? LIST 3 TOPICS YOU ENJOY.

Ans: The 3 topics I enjoy are :
    1. Make-up, Tips on make-up and skin care products
    2. Literature/Novels
    3. Fitness/ workout routines

    2. WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS/FAMILY COMPLIMENT YOU ON?

Ans: My elder sister compliments me about my makeup skills because I literally went from being a tom-boyish girl to a girl who can do every kind of makeup in 2 months only. And my friends do compliment me sometimes about my knowledge of literature and how I remember every line from every Jane Austen novel.

    3. HOW WILL YOUR TOPICS HELP YOUR READERS?

    Ans:

    1. I know makeup is a very basic topic nowadays like literally everyone knows about it, but still, there are people who are new to it, and sometimes when you’re new to it you spend money on things that you really don’t need. Because I have gone through it too, so I can help them with what products they should spend on when they are beginners. And also Skincare tips by spending less money.

    2. I can help them to know everything about literature, I might be still in my 2 years of bachelor’s now but I know more about literature than they teach in my university. I can help them to know about every era of literature whether it’s Elizabethan, Renaissance, Victorian or romantic. And help them understand literature and how it’s a revolution.

    3. I can’t give tips about losing weight because I never really went through it like I’ve stuck on 48 since I was 15? But during quarantine, I got fat Problem like belly fat, thick thighs and love muscles. And I know that body doesn’t matters and all but some people get really depressed about this thing (I did) but then I got back in shape by doing few exercises in my house only, like no gym, no money and all, just 12 exercises which got me back in shape.

      Hi Astha!

Your answers on what to blog about are fantastic! Thank you for posting a comment and sharing them.

Based on what I am reading, I think you’re going to do really well with a makeup or beauty type of blog. The fact that you shared the story of how your sister told you that you went from a tomboyish girl to a girl who learned how to do her makeup, already gives a great story to your blog of how your makeup journey got started. I am sure that there are many girls and women out there who go through a similar story like this and they would love to hear your best advice and tips on how to use or apply makeup along with any of your skincare advice.

You also give a good story about your weight loss during the quarantine. Healthy living, diets and anything to do with weight loss generally do well too.

I highly recommend you choose the topic you are passionate about and can see yourself talk about for a long long time without getting bored. When you’re able to write or talk about something that you’re enthusiastic about, your passion will show and shine on your blog, which is what makes you stand out!

I hope this advice gives you the confidence to start your blog. Let me know if you have any questions about starting it. I’m happy to help you build a successful blog! 🙂

I have been reading your blogs for a long while, and I wanna thank you for your valuable information and instructions. I wanna ask you about a specific niche that I want to start to blog about, and I want your advice.
The niche is “how to start mining Bitcoin (cryptocurrencies) at home” or
“How can you earn more than $1,000 from the first month by following simple steps”
My question is “is this kind of blog going to work?”

      Hi Khaled!

I’m glad you find my information about blogging helpful!

The good thing is you know that you are interested in starting a blog that is very specific about bitcoin investing. Being very intentional and sticking to only one topic is one strategy that works because readers who want to learn more about bitcoins will likely stay on your blog. They will see you as an expert in bitcoin when you only blog about that one topic.

I do see that the searches for bitcoin are high (meaning there are a lot of people who search for this type of information, which is good because you want to write about a topic that is popular).

To be found on search engines like Google or Bing for bitcoin topics may be a little more challenging especially for beginners. But this could still work out for you!

If you do start your blog in this specific niche, I recommend focusing on 1-2 sources like social media platforms that will help you drive traffic back to your blog. And learn how to use those 1-2 traffic sources really well. For example, you can look into Quora or Reddit to see how people engage with people to get pageviews back to their blog. At the same time, with this niche like bitcoin, I recommend learning how to get found on searches like Google which you can learn more about on sites like Moz. As a beginner, you can target lower competition “keywords” or “phrases” with a decent amount of searches and write about that. That way, you stand a better chance to be found on searches.

Long story short, Bitcoin is very specific and it is likely to do better when you focus your efforts on other social media platforms and Google searches.

You can also consider learning Pinterest to get traffic too. I just don’t recommend Pinterest as the first source for you because I don’t think there are many people search for bitcoin on this platform since it’s more popular with topics like lifestyle, beauty, fashion, crafting, home decor, recipes, parenting, motherhood, health and exercise, frugal living, budgeting, home reno, designing, DIY, etc.

I hope this gives you some guidance! Let me know how it goes! 🙂
